OBJECTIVES |
This work package will address Scientific Objective 3: The development of CAE methods and tools for evaluating simulation scenarios by determining and optimizing the footwear design parameters that affect comfort. |
DESCRIPTION OF WP3 BROKEN IN TASKS |
Task 3.1 –Computation of Comfort Parameters [m7 – m36] |
This research considers the following four comfort parameters related to footwear design: (1) fitting, (2) shock absorption, (3) foot plant pressure distribution, (4) bending/torsion.
Task 3.2 –Comfort Parameters Assessment and Optimization [m25 – m36] |
In this task, a special module will be developed for “translating” the results of the FE analysis performed on a certain simulation scenario. With this module the computed values (stresses, deformations, etc.) will be graphically displayed to the user in order to assess the dynamic interaction between foot and footwear and derive conclusions on design improvements.
Task 3.3– Porting the Proposed Technological Solution to the Cloud [m7 – m36] |
In order to provide a cost-effective, fast and robust solution the entire system will be available in the Cloud.
Task 3.4 – Validation [m31 – m36] |
The final task of this project concerns the validation of the developed methods and algorithms.
